“Venezuela is a country that has been in crisis for years now, however just recently this crisis has taken to another level of severity with the country being officially declared a dictatorship. This political and economic crisis is so severe that citizens are losing so much weight from lack of food that they are having to travel to other countries to buy basic necessities in order to live. For many of you reading this right now, this will be the first time that you have been exposed to this. The government has strictly subsidized food for it’s 30 million inhabitants, resulting in a dangerous shortage of food with many shelves at grocery stores empty. Medicine is extremely scarce and out of reach for those who need it the most, and hospitals are in hazardous conditions with unsterile supplies and doctors cannot keep up with the lack of financial help and resources. All of this happens while it’s government claims there is no health crisis. People are seriously dying as the government sits back and pretends to not notice. In regards to crime, Venezuela is the second country with the most homicides, leaving many people terrified to even leave their house. People are being shot in the streets, at schools and at universities for protesting against the government, which is heavily corrupt. We need to stop turning a blind eye to this. “
My name is Logan Gritton, I am based in California & I lead a fortunate American life with a young family. I have been following the situation in Venezuela & I am frankly shocked at how rapid the situation there has deteriorated. After discussing the situation with members of the Venezuelan Citizenry who are seeking support outside of their borders, I decided I would be doing them & myself as disservice by sitting back and doing nothing.
The citizen’s of Venezuela have taken to the streets to stand up to the Collectivist dictatorship that is running their country into the ground. The people of the once most prosperous South American country are putting it all on the line to stand up for their inalienable human rights to life, liberty, property & a hope to bring about a return to peaceful, civil society.
As the whole world trembles around us, it is vital for those of us who believe in freedom & human life to take a second and appreciate what we have. We must come together & show support to those who need our help most. We can continue to be outraged about our own 1st. world politics or we can make real change by directly supporting those who reflect our own inner humanity.
By Contributing to this Go Fund Me, your donations will be directly supporting the people of Venezuela with the much needed financial support needed to adequately protect themselves & their families from the economic hardship & brutal authoritarianism they face on a daily basis as a result of their repressive government.
All contributions made to this campaign will be transferred directly to Venezuela in US Dollars to a small business owner that I am in contact with who is within the country & has access to a City Bank Account. For their own safety, they wish to remain anonymous. Due to the safety concerns of our beneficiaries in the country, I MAY be held personally liable for taxes on the donations. We discussed setting aside 15% of donations in case this becomes a problem. I will update this campaign as I learn more on the liability concern. I do not forsee incurring any operating expenses in creating & executing this campaign. Please send me a message if you have any questions or concerns that I can address. I wish to make this as transparent as possible & affect as much impact as we can for the people of this struggling country.
Funds Will Directly Benefit The Citizens Of Venezuela & Help Cover Needed Supplies That Include:
First Aid Kits
I would be so grateful to collaborate with all of you to help the people of Venezuela achieve peace, prosperity, & freedom for this generation & generations to come. If you feel strongly about this campaign & want to make a real difference in someones life please share this amongst your friends, family, & larger network. Every little bit counts.
